We Are Scientists Support New Album With UK Winter Tour & Tickets

Alternative pop-rock band, We Are Scientists, have announced details of an extensive winter trek across the UK this November.

Currently based in New York, We Are Scientists were formed in California ten years ago. Their breakthrough into mainstream pop-rock came in 2005 with the release of their second album, ‘With Love and Squalor’, which sold 100,000 copies within the first six months of its release.

Adding to the growing success of the band was their 2008 second studio album ‘Brain Thrust Mastery’. Peaking at number eleven in the UK charts, the album spawned two Top40 hits “After Hours” and “Chick Lit”.

Having just released their third studio album, ‘Barbara’, on June 14th, the new record is said to be reminiscent of some of the best artists from the British Post-New Wave and New Romantics era. Packed with ten songs inspired by the sounds of Franz Ferdinand, Bowie, Velvet Underground and Fleetwood Mac, the new album should keep you singing and dancing long after the last track finishes.

We Are Scientists now hit the road to showcase the new material on their newly announced ‘Barbarians Tour’ across the UK. Kicking-off their hefty tour in Portsmouth on November 15th, the tour will roll across the UK with their final show of the tour taking place at Nottingham’s Rock City on November 27th.

We Are Scientists will play the following UK dates:

November 2010

17th O2 Academy, Bristol
19th Norwich UEA, Norwich
20th Academy 2, Manchester
