Next weekend’s V Festival is to be streamed live online for the first time in the event’s history.
Live webcast footage of bands playing on three of the festival’s four stages at the Chelmsford site will be a available to view from the comfort of your own home on-demand through the festival’s official YouTube channel.
In addition to the live performances, the streaming will also include artist interviews as well as competitions in which viewers will be able to have a chance to win some Nokia smartphones.
V Festival has put the streaming project together in partnership with Nokia Internet brand Ovi. Those who have nokia phones and access to Ovi can also enjoy a dedicated V Festival application, which is available free from the Nokia Ovi application store.
V Festival goes ahead next weekend with the twin-site event featuring headline performances from the likes of Kasabian and Kings of Leon. The two-day bash also has dance legends The Prodigy, Groove Armada and David Guetta playing on the event’s other stage as well as other big names on the weekend bill such as Stereophonics, Faithless, Paul Weller, Editors, The Coral, The Kooks, Seasick Steve, The Charlatans, Doves, Calvin Harris, Madness, Florence and the Machine and many more.
V Festival takes place from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd August, with bands performing on stage from Saturday 21st August.
