Stereoboard’s Weekly Roundup - Katy Perry, Kings of Leon, Usher +

Friday, 29 October 2010 Written by Rob Sleigh

Welcome to the weekly Stereoboard roundup! Each week, we’ll be taking a look at the bands and artists that you’ve been reading about and buying tickets for over the past few days. We’ll check out each of these acts to find out why they’ve been causing so much excitement and we’ll also give you the news on what else they’ve been up to.

Katy Perry
This week’s biggest hitter is pop starlet Katy Perry who, after marrying boyfriend Russell Brand only last weekend at a private ceremony in India, is still managing to do amazingly well with her forthcoming UK tour in Spring 2011 and her recent album ‘Teenage Dream’. She’s still got two singles in the Top 20 as well. Click Here to Compare & Buy Katy Perry Tickets

Everyone’s favourite Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon have just hit the Number One spot in the album chart with their fifth LP ‘Come Around Sundown’ and they’ve already followed it up by announcing a huge UK tour for next summer. They must love playing over here because they’ve still got another tour to go before the end of 2010 in December. Click Here to Compare & Buy Kings of Leon Tickets

Sade
Earlier this year, 80s jazz and soul group Sade released ‘Soldier of Love’, their sixth album and their first in ten years. The album has since become one of the most successful releases for the group, who are fronted by British-Nigerian vocalist Sade Adu. Next May, Sade will play three dates in the UK. Roger Waters
Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters kicked off his The Wall Tour in Toronto in September and is due to finish next June in Manchester after six dates at London’s O2 Arena. The tour has already been surrounded by more than its fair share of controversy. However, with David Gilmour set to make an appearance during the UK dates, Waters can’t be too concerned. After more than two years since its release, Lady Gaga’s debut album ‘The Fame’ is still sitting comfortably in the Top 20.
