Get ready! It's time for the biggest one-off show of the year, if not the decade: Following the success of his recent album 'Back on my B.S.' the hip-hop force-to-be-reckoned-with, the voice of a generation known as Busta Rhymes is hitting the UK this December!
The most idiosyncratic personality in rap and possessor of its most recognizable delivery, a halting, ragga-inspired style with incredible complexity, inventiveness, and humor, Busta Rhymes formed Leaders of the New School in 1990 and released two albums with the group before breaking out with a 1996 solo hit single, 'Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check', without a doubt one of hip hop’s most emblematic anthems.
After two decades of recording, touring and generally living the dream in the the spotlight, Trevor Smith, aka Busta Rhymes, aka the Wild Man of Hip-Hop remains at the top of the game. With countless huge hits of his own, as well as numerous appearances with just about everyone worth talking about, he is still the artist who has helped bring hip-hop to the masses. This promises to be a mind-blowing show packed full of air-thumping memories and dramatic new-ground breaking work!
His inimitable MCing style saw him sign a six-figure contract with Elektra at just seventeen years old, and following his standout cameo on A Tribe Called Quest's timeless 'Scenario' Busta was propelled into the public consciousness. His latest album, 'Back on my B.S', maintained the high-standard, energetic dancehall-tinged hip-hop style in true effect, as well as trying some new sounds from the hottest producers in the business and still managing to push things forward lyrically as only Busta can.
Now recording a new album expect a selection of Busta's classics as well as brand new joints for this, the greatest Hip Hop gig of the year.
Busta Rhymes will play the following 2010 UK Show:
