British-Irish pop boy band The Wanted have announced a UK tour for spring 2011.
The Wanted were formed in 2009 by the same pop-manufacturers that built The Saturdays. Considered as a boy band equivalent of the all-girl group, The Wanted soon started working on their debut album with producers Guy Chambers, Taio Cruz and Steve Mac.
Sharing a house in South London, The Wanted, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George and Tom Parker began work on their debut single 'All Time Low', produced by Mac, and also co-wrote by fast-rising star, Ed Drewett.
The debut was released earlier this year and upon its first week of release, debuted at Number One in the UK and has since remained in the UK Top 40 for 11 weeks. The bands official second single, 'Heart Vacancy', written by Jonas Jeberg, Mich Hansen, Wayne Hector and Lucas Secon was released last month on October 17th and reached Number Two in the UK charts.
The Wanted released their self-titled debut album last month. It debuted at Number Four in the United Kingdom and Scotland, and at Number Eleven in Ireland.
