Whitesnake look set to perform in the UK next year following the emergence of a UK date for a show at Manchester's Apollo Arena on June 17th.
Whitesnake, led by the irreplaceable David Coverdale, achieved considerable commercial success with several platinum albums and a Number 1 hit single 'Here I Go Again', the highest charting of several top 10 hits during the 80s.
After a hiatus while Coverdale worked on other projects, Whitesnake re-emerged from hibernation in 1997 with a new line-up and yet more hit albums. Today Coverdale remains one of the top rock vocalists, guaranteed to pack stadiums across the world.
Details about the Manchester date are being kept under-wraps however it now looks promising that Whitesnake will make an official announcement about a European tour very soon.
Whitesnake are expected to release their eleventh studio album in March next year. The new album, which is currently untitled and rumoured to have a more bluesy sound, will be the band's first since their comeback record 'Good To Be Bad' was released in 2008.
