The Libertines Reunion Rumours Are Complete Fabrication, Says Carl Barat

Libertines fans will be left disappointed today as Carl Barat dismissed rumours of a reunion, describing them as “complete fabrication”.
The Sunday Mirror had run a story about the potential reunion of the group, after gossip sparked like wildfire following the post of a picture on Twitter featuring Barat and ex-bandmate Pete Doherty together. The paper suggested the band would tour again after they briefly reformed to play at Reading and Leeds festivals last year.
But, with Doherty set to play Reading and Leeds as a solo act and Barat debunking the rumours himself, a reunion looks very unlikely.
“So that 'story' in the Mirror yesterday?” Barat said, “Complete fabrication, folks.”
