Kelly & Jack Osbourne Re-Ignite Black Sabbath Reunion Rumours

Kids these days! It seems as though the Black Sabbath reunion rumours have been given more heat following daughter Kelly Osbourne's comments at the Hollywood premičre screening of new movie, 'God Bless Ozzy Osbourne'.

Ozzy Osbourne was conspicuously absent from the screening and while speaking to Artisan News at the event, daughter Kelly Osbourne revealed. “My dad is… I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell you, but he’s doing something that is very, very exciting. He’s just finished a tour. But he’s doing something very exciting. I’m not allowed to talk about it, though.”

These comments were then followed by Ozzy's son Jack revealing, “I can neither confirm nor deny who he is with or where he is,” when asked if there was any truth to the Sabbath reunion.

Reports emerged last week that heavy metal pioneers, Black Sabbath's original line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, had met up in the Midlands and were currently rehearsing at a secret location for a new tour and new album.

Aided by the internet the huge news quickly spread across the world and fans were sent into a frenzy after reading what Tony Iommi had apparently recently revealed to the Birmingham Mail. “We're really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we've been writing is really good. It's more back to the old original stuff.”

Since the reports have surfaced, the guitarist has now come out and strenuously denied the claims. Posting a statement at www.iommi.com, he said. "I'm saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Black Sabbath reunion.

Continuing, Iommi clarified the comments that he actually made to the journalist back in June before apologising to his bandmates.

“At the time I was supporting the Home Of Metal exhibition and was merely speculating shooting the breeze, on something all of us get asked constantly, 'are you getting back together? Thanks to the internet it’s gone round the world as some sort of ‘official’ statement on my part, absolute nonsense. I hope he's enjoyed his moment of glory, he won’t have another at my expense. To my old pals Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better.”

Fans continue to speculate about the status of what would be a ground-breaking reunion. We here at Stereoboard seem to think there could be some kind of cover-up going on until headliners are announced for the UK's 2012 Download and Sonisphere festivals. Watch this space!
