Belgian choir and classical music group Scala & Kolacny Brothers have announced a date at London’s HMV Forum on 13th December. This follows a sold-out performance at the capital’s Union Chapel in June and the release of their eponymous album. The album drew praise for its powerful renditions of well-known rock and indie tracks such as Oasis’s ‘Champagne Supernova’ and Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’.
The collective first earned widespread attention when their interpretation of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ was used in the official trailer for the Oscar-winning film ‘The Social Network’. They originally formed in 1996 and went on to win Belgium’s Choir of the Year contest in 2000. Their debut album ‘On the Rocks’ was released in 2002 and featured their own versions of ‘I Think I’m Paranoid’ by Garbage, ‘I Just Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ by Kylie Minogue and ‘Every Breath You Take’ by The Police.
’Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ track listing:
