Shock rock icon Alice Cooper is to get his own documentary next year, it has been revealed.
The legendary rock performer, who was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, has been an active and prominent force in the scene for over 45 years, so is well deserving of a feature length film about his career.
The film will apparently be produced by Banger Films, the same company behind Iron Maiden’s and Rush’s rockumentaries, and will be ready by September 2012, where it will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.
“We’re in the early stages of telling the story of his career,” said Banger Film’s Sam Dunn. “We’re probably going to focus in on his early years up to his comeback in the ’80s. We’re exploring a different stylist approach with this film. It won’t be talking heads; it’s going to be more of an archival and animated journey through his career.”
Cooper recently had a ride in Universal Studio’s massive theme park – a haunted maze titled ‘Alice Cooper’s Welcome to my Nightmare’.
