Tommy Marth, a saxophone player who toured with and featured as a studio sax player for The Killers, has been found dead at his home in Las Vegas, age 33.
Marth's body was found by officials on Monday earlier this week and has been officially ruled a suicide. The talented musician toured with the world-famous band throughout 2008 and 2009, and travelled with them to countries in Europe, America, Africa and South America and Australasia, as well as featuring on both the 'Sam's Town' and 'Day of Age' albums.
A statement from the band posted on their Facebook page earlier today reads: “Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy.”
