The UK’s top day out for fans of extreme music, Leeds based Damnation Festival, has further strengthened its bill with the announcement of four more names this week.
Most notable for metal fans will be the additions of black metallers Vried and Winterfylleth to darken the atmosphere on the Terrorizer Stage even further. Joining them and previous additions like Pig Destroyer and Belphegor, on that stage will be London’s brutal death/hardcore group Hang the Bastard. Meanwhile local Leeds lads Blacklisters will be showing everyone why they are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from Britain in a number of years.
Vried claim themselves to be cider and football fanatics and so have greeted news of their return to the UK with pleasure, saying that they are “honoured” to be a part of a festival with such a brilliant line-up and reputation. Winterfylleth have been attending the event as fans for years, and are thus doubly delighted to see their name added to the bill this November.
Damnation Festival 2012, which takes place on 3rd November 2012 at Leeds University Union, still has tickets on sale at just £32.00.
