Frightened Rabbit Announce Details Of New Album & February 2013 UK Tour

Scottish five-piece Frightened Rabbit have announced details of a UK headline tour, which will take place throughout February 2013.
The run of dates kick-off at Norwich’s Waterfront on February 8th, taking in Birmingham, Portsmouth, Brighton, London, Cambridge, Bristol, Exeter Pheonix, Stoke, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Gateshead, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, before finishing up at Glasgow’s Barrowlands on February 28th. Frightened Rabbit Tickets go on sale this Friday 19th October at 9am.
It’s already been a fantastic year for the quintet. In September, the band released their EP ‘State Hospital’, gaining a flurry of fantastic critiques. The title track gained support from the likes of Zane Lowe at Radio 1 and XFM.
The band also embarked on a short UK headline tour this September, giving fans a taster of the new material, as well as supporting fellow Scots Biffy Clyro at the iTunes Festival in Camden’s Roundhouse. They are currently travelling across America in the middle of a headline tour, which saw them take in a packed-to-the-rafters show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom last week.
The band’s fourth studio album - their first on Atlantic Records - is set to release early 2013. The band recorded the new album in Wales’ Monnow Valley studio over the summer months – previous artists to have recorded there and contributed to the studio’s fame include Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and many more. Production comes from Leo Abrahams (Grace Jones, Brian Eno and David Byrne).
