American boyband Backstreet Boys have announced a brand new US tour in celebration of their 20th anniversary - and they’re expected to hit the UK and Europe, too.
Billed as the ‘In a World Like This’ tour, it sees all five original Backstreet Boys - that’s A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell - returning to the stage for 24 dates throughout August and September.
The boys have also produced a brand new album and a feature length documentary film, which is set for a release in 2014. Rounding off what is a massive year for the group, they’ve also received their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The tour will be the first featuring the original five members for almost ten years, meaning fans won’t want to miss out. And, although no dates have been announced yet, we believe that UK and Europe gigs will be unveiled in the not-too-distant future.
Nick Carter broke the news to RyanSeacrest.com - he told the site:
“Backstreet Boys are going on tour this summer. That’s right, baby! All five of us are back together. It’s our 20th anniversary tour. We’ve got a brand new album coming out.”
If you're in the US, and want to catch the group live, check out their tour dates below - the trip kicks off in Chicago on August 2nd and will take them all the way to San Francisco on September 8th.
