Hampshire's pop-rock quintet Natives have rescheduled their November tour for March 2014.
With their forthcoming debut album on the way, Natives have been forced to put back the dates after recording sessions took longer than expected. A statement from the band reveals:
"As you probably know, we finished recording our debut album earlier this year and shortly afterwards announced our Nov headline tour. The plan was that our album would be be released in late summer / early Autumn and the headline tour would follow. The idea was that for our first proper headline shows you guys would have the chance to know the words to all of the songs in the set rather than just one or two and that this would be a chance for you to enjoy the songs which hopefully you'll love as much as we do in a live environment. Since then we’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to release this album. It’s not been easy, the music industry is a difficult one but the good news is that we’ve finally settled on what we think is best for us and the album and we couldn’t be more excited.
The bad news is that this journey has taken longer than we wanted and anticipated and after some serious thought we’ve decided to postpone the headline tour until March next year. We want this tour to be special, we want to put on the best shows possible to you guys who have given us such incredible support whilst we’ve got our stuff together and we feel like we can’t do that if you haven’t even had chance to hear the album. We will be keeping the Southampton show on Nov 15th as a special one off show to play new tracks live for the first time but the rest of the UK and EU dates will be postponed until March.
We realise that some of you will be disappointed and of course refunds will be available for those of you who can’t make the rescheduled dates but we’ve decided as a band that this is the best decision. By way of an apology and because we just can’t wait to show you something new we’re going to be releasing a brand new EP next month which will feature a track from the album and to say sorry for all of the delays it’s going to be completely free."
Having released their 'Stand For Something' EP and completed a UK tour supporting the Summer Set, Natives will return to the road for a headline tour in March 2014. Their original Southampton show, set for November 15, remains unaffected.
All tickets for the 2013 dates remain valid for the new shows. Refunds are available from you point of purchase.
