Sam Smith, FKA Twigs and Clean Bandit are among the nominees for the 60th Anniversary Ivor Novello Awards.
Royal Blood's self titled LP will go up against Wild Beasts' 'Present Tense' and Jack Steadman's 'So Long, See You Tomorrow' in the album category, while Alt-J will take on Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne and FKA Twigs for Best Contemporary Song.
Hozier's Take Me To Church, Ben Howard's I Forget Where We Were and Bear's Den Above The Clouds Of Pompeii are all in the running for the Best Song Musically and Lyrically. Meanwhile, The PRS for Music Most Performed Work award is between George Ezra's Budapest, Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne with Rather Be and Sam Smith's Stay With Me.
Discussing their nomination, Andrew Davie of Bear's Den said:
"It's a huge honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award and I feel very humbled by it. The Ivor Novellos are so special and unique, given that the awards are voted for by songwriters. It means so much to me and our band Bear's Den that Above the Clouds of Pompeii has been nominated."
