Ryan Adams Announces Two New Albums 'Big Colors' And 'Wednesdays'

Wednesday, 09 January 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Ryan Adams has revealed that he'll once again release three albums in a year.

The prolific singer-songwriter will put out 'Big Colors' on April 19, followed by 'Wednesdays' later in the year, although a release date for that one is still to be confirmed and we're still none the wiser about the third LP. The former was produced by Adams alongside Beatriz Artola, and Don Was, while 'Wednesdays' is set to feature guest spots from Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell and Benmont Tench.

The announcement came via social media after Adams teased that he had a lot of new material recorded. The last time he released three albums in a year was back in 2005 when he put out 'Cold Roses', 'Jacksonville City Nights', and '29'. He dropped his 17th studio album, 'Prisoner', back in 2017.

Adams also took to social media to share the artwork for the first of the new records. Meanwhile, CBS' Anthony Mason shared the artwork and tracklist for the second.
