Snow Patrol Debut Surprise New Song Time Won't Go Slowly

Tuesday, 02 July 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Snow Patrol have released a new track.

Time Won't Go Slowly arrives as the Northern Ireland quintet celebrate their 25th year as a band and follows a social media post that they had been busy in the studio over the last few months with more music set for release later this year.

The romantic song ponders how quickly time moves when in love and serves as the first piece of music from their forthcoming anniversary project. Snow Patrol's latest full-length, meanwhile, was 2018's 'Wildness', the band's first studio album in seven years.

They recently scrapped a series of dates to allow guitarist Johnny McDaid to recover from surgery needed for a "serious problem" with his neck. The band cancelled all shows up to July 20 including their performance at Glastonbury.
