The 1975 Drop Frenzied New Single People

Friday, 23 August 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

The 1975 have released a new single.

People is a frenzied track incorporating heavier influences than we've come to expect from the band recently, including alt-rock, metal and old school punk. It's the second cut to be shared from their new album, 'Notes On A Conditional Form', which is due out on February 21, 2020, following up their self-titled track with Greta Thunberg.

The accompanying video, meanwhile, was co-directed by frontman Matthew Healy, Warren Fu and Ben Ditto, and its frantic visuals echo the nature of the song.

The 1975 are set to headline Reading and Leeds, as well as a Glasgow Summer Sessions show, this weekend. Following this, they'll tour further afield in support of their latest album, the Mercury Prize-nominated ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’, which came out last year.
