Badly Drawn Boy has returned with a new single, Is This A Dream?.
The upbeat indie track is the first new material to emerge from the Manchester singer-songwriter in seven years, and comes with a bright, animated video. He said:
“The song is a sound collage of chaos and confusion to reflect the ridiculous times we live in. A deliberately cartoonesque sonic poke in the eye, to those in whom we place trust, yet instead supply constant barrage of misinformation followed by bad decisions.”
Badly Drawn Boy, real name Damon Gough, performs at the Roundhouse in London tomorrow (January 25) as part of the venue's In The Round series. The show will mark his first London gig in five years.
His last studio album, meanwhile, was 2010's 'It's What I'm Thinking Pt.1 – Photographing Snowflakes'.
