Matt Maltese is set to put out a new EP this summer.
‘Madhouse’ is scheduled to drop on August 7, following the singer-songwriter’s second LP, ‘Krystal’, which landed in November 2019.
The news arrives with the EP’s lead single, Queen Bee, a slice of highly styled, charming romantic pop with vocals from Sorry’s Asha Lorenz and the Lemon Twigs’ Brian D’Addario on guitar duties. Stream it below, and check out the full tracklist for ‘Madhouse’.
He said:
“It’s a song about the notion of finding ‘true love’, and being doubtful yet persistently and annoyingly hopeful.
“It’s a song that sort of speaks to your future lover with equal parts cynicism and soppiness.”
Matt Maltese is among the names confirmed for Reading’s Are You Listening? Festival, which is set to take place in October. Tickets are on sale now.
