Taylor Swift has shared a cinematic, self-directed video for Cardigan.
She penned the piano-led pop track with Aaron Dessner of the National, who also co-wrote 10 other songs from the singer-songwriter's new album, 'Folklore'. The song features rich, yet understated instrumentation and candid, heartfelt lyrics, which have become Swift's staple.
The follow-up to 2019's 'Lover' is out now, with the star having only announced it yesterday (July 23). The record also features collaborations with Bon Iver, William Bowery and Jack Antonoff — who's previously worked with Swift on 2014's '1989', 2017's 'Reputation' and last year's 'Lover'.
Swift's headline London show as part of this year's BST Hyde Park series was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as was the rest of her Lover Fest Tour.
