Gojira have returned with their first new song in four years.
The Grammy-nominated band claim Another World is a standalone single, so we cannot necessarily assume a follow-up to 2016's 'Magma' is on its way.
The gargantuan metal track was produced by the band's vocalist and guitarist Joe Duplantier, mixed by Andy Wallace, and arrives with an animated video directed by Maxime Tiberhgien and Sylvain Favre. Duplantier said:
“It is with great excitement that we’re presenting our new track ‘Another World.’ Ferdinand Magellan once said: ‘It is with an iron will that we’ll embark on the most daring of all endeavours, to meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown.’ Is humanity doomed, or will we survive nature’s wrath? Take a glimpse into our shadowy future by watching our take on 1968’s Planet Of The Apes… Another World!”
Gojira will next hit the road when supporting Deftones on their rescheduled North American tour throughout August and September 2021.
