Reading and Leeds have made some changes to the 2021 line up.
Following its cancellation in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event will return to Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park over the upcoming August bank holiday weekend. To celebrate its come back, the festival has added a second main stage to each site, meaning they are able to host six headliners.
Stormzy and Catfish And The Bottlemen will top the bill on the Friday in Reading/Saturday in Leeds, with Post Malone and Disclosure capping Saturday/Sunday's bill. Liam Gallagher will headline on Sunday/Friday, with Biffy Clyro replacing Queens of the Stone Age, who are unable to perform due to COVID-19 restrictions and logistics. Biffy said:
"We are delighted and honoured to be headlining Reading and Leeds for a third time. We cannot wait to get out there and play for you all again after such a tough year… It’s gonna fuck!!"
The latest line-up announcement sees Fever 333 and Creeper leaving the bill and You Me At Six and Waterparks joining it — they'll be performing on the Main Stage West and The Pit Stage, respectively.
First staged in 1961, Reading is the original of the two festivals and is the world's oldest popular music festival still in existence. The bill always guarantees a diverse range of acts, including the finest in rock, punk, indie, metal, and more recently electronic artists and rap, from around the world.
