This Is The Kit have released a new song.
Coming To Get You Nowhere is the latest to be lifted from 'Off Off On', the follow-up to 2017's breakthrough record 'Moonshine Freeze', which is due out via Rough Trade Records on October 23.
It's a catchy indie-folk track which blends fast-strumming acoustic guitar and horns over hushed percussion. Discussing its accompanying handmade video, band leader Kate Stables said:
"We made from footage of our friend's car getting stuck when they came to visit us during our rehearsal time just before we went into the studio to make 'Off Off On'. It felt like a car getting stuck and people having to work together and ask for help to get it unstuck was a fitting story to accompany this song, which is itself about getting stuck and the ways we can help or hinder ourselves when it comes to getting out of unhealthy patterns."
"Making this video has been really nice for me during this time of not being able to get together with the rest of the band."
Recorded with producer Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman and Muzz, the LP will also include the already shared This Is What You Did.
Check out the new tune and the album's artwork below. This Is The Kit will support the release with a UK tour in spring 2021.
