Thunder Announce New LP 'All The Right Noises', Share First Single Last One Out Turn Off The Lights

Thunder have shared details of their 13th studio album.

'All The Right Noises' will arrive on March 12 via BMG, following up the British rock stalwarts' 2019 stripped back and reimagined LP, 'Please Remain Seated'.

All songs were written and recorded before the coronavirus outbreak took hold, with the album completed back in the spring. The band said:

"We finished it in March of this year, but because of Covid-19, we had to delay the tour and the album release. It's been very frustrating, and we almost went pop a few times, but finally we're able to tell the world about it.

"'Please Remain Seated' gave us a chance to sit down and try different things, but it also allowed us to reflect on what we do best, namely blues based British classic rock at its riff-tactic best.

"We were always going to return to our roots, and we've done so in a big way with this new album. Those who thought we were ready for our pipe and slippers are in for a massive shock!"

Guitarist and songwriter Luke Morley added: "All the songs were written and recorded pre-Covid. But it is interesting how if you look at some of the tracks through the prism of Covid they still make a lot of sense."

The record will include the newly shared lead single and opening track, Last One Out Turn Off The Lights, an explosive, guitar-charged rock banger that Morley revealed is, "directly about Brexit, but you could apply it to everything else." The song's video is set to drop soon, but in the meantime press play below.

Back in August, the band revealed the revised spring dates for their UK arena tour that was postponed due to COVID-19. They'll be joined by Ugly Kid Joe at all shows, with Those Damn Crows opening in Cardiff, Piston in Birmingham, Kris Barras Band in London, Massive Wagons in Leeds and Mason Hill in Glasgow.
