Rebecca Ferguson has released a new single featuring funk legend Nile Rodgers.
No Words Needed is the second time the two artists have collaborated, having previously worked together on Nothing Left But Family which came out in May 2020. Both tracks were co-written by Rodgers and recorded with him at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. She said:
“Working with Nile never gets old, I’m still in awe of his talent. ‘No Words Needed’ came together in a fit of creativity. I can’t wait to keep working with him.”
Rodgers added: "We just have an undeniable chemistry. Every time we get together it feels like something special happens."
The song has a distinctly '80s pop feel and showcases Ferguson's powerhouse vocals. Press play below.
As soon as restrictions due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic are lifted, the vocalist will join Rodgers in the studio once again to work on her fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2016's 'Superwoman', which she'll support with a UK tour.
