Nancy Wilson has unveiled details of her upcoming debut solo album.
'You And Me' is due out on May 7 via the multiple Grammy winning Heart co-founder's new label home Carry On Music. It features eight original songs alongside four covers.
In autumn 2020, a stirring rework of Bruce Springsteen's The Rising was shared as the LP's first preview, while other reinterpretations on the record include Pearl Jam's Daughter, The Cranberries' Dreams and Simon and Garfunkel's The Boxer, which features vocals by Sammy Hagar.
Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan appears with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins on the original cut Party At The Angel Ballroom, while the album's closing track 4 Edward is an unplugged instrumental tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen.
The album was recorded by the 66-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee in her California home studio, with band members and guests joining remotely.
