Sparta have shared details of their fifth LP.
The Texan post-hardcore duo are set to follow-up to 2020’s ‘Trust The River’ with a self-titled album, due to drop on October 14 via Dine Alone Records.
Giving fans a taste of what’s to come, accompanying the announcement are two new singles, Mind Over Matter and Spiders. The former showcases frontman Jim Ward’s gritty vocal melodies layered over punky riffs, with the latter tapping into the band’s melancholic side on a piano-laced anthem reminiscent of their earlier sound.
The tracks feature guest vocals from rising singer-songwriters Kayleigh Goldsworthy and Angelica Garcia, respectively, with Thursday’s Tucker Rule providing drums.
Ahead of the album’s release, Sparta will be hitting the road alongside The Get Up Kids on their Four Minute Mile 25th Anniversary Tour of North America, which kicks off in Dallas on August 22.
