CMAT is back with a new single, Whatever's Inconvenient.

The tongue-in-cheek alt-pop ballad follows her January single Mayday, and the release of a deluxe version of her 2022 debut album, 'If My Wife New I'd Be Dead'.

Recorded and produced with Bonny Light Horseman in New York, and assisted by Matias Tellez at his studio in Bergen, Norway, it serves as the first preview of her second LP. The Irish singer-songwriter commented:

"Whatever’s Inconvenient is a bit of a mission statement for me (and for my second album). It’s a big question mark over why I am so unendingly bad at entering and maintaining romantic relationships. I don’t really answer the question here, because I can’t and probably never will, but it’s always helpful to acknowledge your own uselessness (I find)."

CMAT has rescheduled gigs lined up in Cork and Nottingham this spring, and various festivals appearances scheduled for the summer, including Isle of Wight, Neighbourhood, Blue Dot, Y Not? and Camp Bestival. She'll also support Florence And The Machine at her outdoor shows in Dublin and Belfast, and First Aid Kit at their London date.

CMAT Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri May 12 2023 - CORK Cyprus Avenue
Sat May 13 2023 - CORK Cyprus Avenue
Fri May 19 2023 - NOTTINGHAM Rescue Rooms
