Demi Lovato has shared a rock version of Sorry Not Sorry.
The guitar-led rendition of the 2017 single features a blistering solo by Slash from Guns N' Roses, and follows rock reinterpretations of the American singer's earlier songs Heart Attack and Cool For The Summer. Lovato said:
"Slash is an iconic artist who I’ve been a fan of for years, it’s an absolute honor to have such a legend like him on the rock version of ‘Sorry not Sorry’.” Demi continued, “With REVAMPED, I wanted to pay homage to the songs that resonated the most with fans and played a big role in my career by breathing an exciting new life into them. Creating this project has been incredibly fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way, and I feel so much closer to my older music because of it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear more!”
Chock-full of attitude, the new amped up songs follow the release of Lovato's rock-orientated 2022 LP 'HOLY FVCK'. They will all appear on a new album called 'Revamped', which will arrive on September 15. It'll feature some of the vocalist's biggest hits getting a rock makeover with all new vocals and production. Introducing it on social media she said:
"Breathing new life into the songs that played such a huge role in my career has allowed me to feel so much closer to my music than ever before. I can’t wait for you to hear REVAMPED on 9/15."
In June, the 30-year-old surprise released the single Swine to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a ruling that had major implications for the right to safe abortions.
