Dirty Honey have released a new single, Won't Take Me Alive.

Built around swaggering guitar riffage and howling vocals, the ballsy hard rock offering marks the first single from the California band's sophomore LP, 'Can’t Find The Breaks', due out in the autumn, though a release date is still to be confirmed.

Produced by Nick DiDia and recorded at his Byron Bay studio in Australia, the track first premiered in June as the score accompanying TNT's NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage. Vocalist Marc Labelle said of it:

"The best riff I’d heard in the last decade. The song is full of sex and swagger, but it’s still got the heaviness and the fun that Dirty Honey’s all about."

Guitarist John Notto added: "Won’t Take Me Alive was an instrumental idea I demoed on bass, drums, and guitar at my home studio. I brought it to the band, we wrote a new chorus, and it was basically finished that quickly. Nick [DiDia] rented some vintage amps and really helped me get the raunchy sound and attitude I wanted for the riff."

It arrives as the band look ahead to their summer North American dates, which include a handful of gigs supporting legends Guns N' Roses
