Casey have shared a new single called Puncture Wounds To Heaven.
Out now through Hassle Records, the track couples emotive clean and aggressive vocals with melodic post-hardcore guitars, and marks the first glimpse of the Welsh band's as-yet-unannounced new album. Vocalist Tom Weaver commented:
"'Puncture Wounds To Heaven centres around the themes of apathy and the guilt that can arise as a result. The “coming up for air” sensation as you briefly snap out of a depressive episode, and survey how life has progressed around you.
"This is a core theme that carries throughout the new record, and musically, the dichotomy between the smooth verses and the chaotic middle 8 really demonstrated that in a visceral way for us."
It follows their spring 7'' single featuring Atone and Great Grief, as well as several major shows in the UK and Germany.
The band's sights are now set on their first ever headline US tour, which kicks off next week and includes an appearance at Alabama's Furnace Fest alongside Turnstile, Enter Shikari, Scowl, and more. Following the run of dates, they'll support Funeral For A Friend with Dashboard Confessional at London's Roundhouse on October 15.
Specific details of their third full-length release are to be revealed in due course, with Weaver teasing the project as, "vocally (and musically) the most ambitious we've ever been, but still feels quintessentially Casey."
