Chuck Ragan has released a new single, Echo The Halls.
Arriving via Rise Records, Ragan describes the driving heartland rock song as, "a simple love story of two unhinged souls searching for a light at the end of a tunnel." It marks the Hot Water Music co-frontman's first new solo music since 2016's soundtrack to the video game The Flame In The Flood.
"Many of the songs that I discover and gravitate to stem from love and reflection," Ragan continued. "That said, love and reflection isn’t always pleasant and often at times painful. Songwriting to me has always been about looking deeper into myself to overcome my faults and dark sides. Whether I find them myself or learn of them from loved ones."
Produced by Ragan and Todd Beene, who plays guitar and pedal steel on the song, it also features Spencer Duncan on bass and Ragan's Hot Water Music bandmate George Rebelo on drums.
It arrives ahead of the singer-songwriter's winter European shows.
