Feeder Share Double A-Side Single The Knock/Soldiers Of Love

Feeder have released a double a-side single.
The Knock and Soldiers Of Love will feature on the Newport rockers' upcoming double album, 'Black / Red', due out on April 5. The former is a driving rock track, while the latter is a more rousing, cinematic affair featuring bagpipes and a string arrangement. Commenting on both songs, vocalist-guitarist Grant Nicholas said:
"The Knock is one of the more direct, up-tempo songs on the 'Black / Red' album. It’s really a song about a highway or road of life and the journey in which it can take us on and the challenges we face along the way.
"When writing Soldiers Of Love I remember having a very clear visual image for the song, almost like a film soundtrack. It’s the first time we’ve recorded bagpipes on a Feeder track, as we felt they would add to the slight Celtic feel of the song. It was originally going to stay more of an acoustic style track, but I felt the song could be more cinematic and grander sonically."
The songs will be joined on the follow-up to last year's 'Torpedo' by the previously unveiled cuts Playing With Fire and ELF.
Ahead of the record's release, they'll embark on an extensive UK tour, kicking off in Cambridge on March 2 and concluding at London's Roundhouse on March 28. Tickets are on sale now.
They'll also appear at In It Together Festival, one of Wales' largest festivals, which returns to Margam during the late May bank holiday weekend.
