D'Angelo (pictured) has teamed up with Jay-Z for a new single, I Want You Forever.
Soulful and psychedelic, the nine-minute rap tune is taken from the soundtrack for filmmaker and musician Jeymes Samuel's new feature-length film, The Book Of Clarence, and is described by him as, "nine minutes and 32 seconds of absolute soulful, biblical bliss." The soundtrack also features contributions from Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Doja Cat, and Kodak Black.
Samuel and Jay-Z co-produced the biblical comedy epic, which lands in North American cinemas today (January 12), with the UK release following on January 19. The pair previously worked together on Samuel's 2021 revenge western, The Harder They Fall.
D'Angelo has not featured on a widely available new song since 2019. His most recent album is 2014's 'Black Messiah'.
