Kamasi Washington Announces New Album 'Fearless Movement'

Kamasi Washington has announced a new album.
'Fearless Movement' will arrive through Young on May 3, following up the Los Angeles jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer's 2018 LP 'Heaven and Earth'.
It'll feature André 3000 on flute, vocals from George Clinton, as well as contributions from BJ the Chicago Kid, D-Smoke, Taj and Ras Austin of hip hop group Coast Contra, Thundercat, Terrace Martin, Patrice Quinn, Brandon Coleman, DJ Battlecat, and more.
As a preview, Washington has released the eight-and-a-half minute progressive jazz-funk odyssey Prologue, which arrives with a video directed by long-time collaborator AG Rojas, with choreography by Samantha Blake Goodman. It'll be joined on the record by his 2022 single The Garden Path.
Washington has also revealed plans for a North American tour, set to kick off in New York City on May 4. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (March 8). Head here for details.
