Riverdance will return to UK stages in 2025.
The Irish dance group will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a new world tour that will travel across the UK, beginning with a run at Swansea Arena between August 12 - 14.
It'll then head to various theatres, concert halls and arenas, with multiple performances scheduled in Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Southend, Southampton, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, York, Leicester, Cardiff, Bristol, Bournemouth, Brighton and London, among other cities. Head below for a full list of shows.
Directed by John McColgan, produced by Moya Doherty, with music composed by Bill Whelan, the spectacular revamped production will reimagine the original show with new choreography and costumes, plus state-of-the-art lighting, projection and motion graphics. It also welcomes a new generation of performers for the first time, all of whom were not born when the show began 30 years ago.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am next Friday (March 22). McColgan said:
"It is both a privilege and a delight to celebrate 30 years of Riverdance and the unique journey it has taken us on. In those 30 years the show has transformed from a spectacle into a global cultural phenomenon – continuously evolving yet remaining true to its Irish roots. On this upcoming tour we look forward to welcoming 'The New Generation' of artists while paying tribute to the talented performers, creators, dedicated crew, and the millions of fans who have made Riverdance a worldwide celebration of music and dance. "
Ahead of the UK run, Riverdance will return to the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin between June 5 and September 8, following sell-out performances in 2023 and 2022. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
