Charlie Puth has released a new single.
He self-produced Hero and co-wrote it with his long-time collaborator JKash, as well as John Byron and Jack Rochon. It finds the him delivering romantically candid falsetto vocals atop an expansive, yet understated acoustic guitar-led backdrop.
The song is the first to be shared from the New Jersey singer-songwriter's fourth studio album, though no further details of the follow-up to 2022's 'Charlie' have been revealed.
Puth's name has been in the music press in recent weeks as he was namechecked on the title track of Taylor Swift's new album, 'The Tortured Poets Department': "You smokеd, then ate seven bars of chocolate,
We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist."
