ANOHNI and the Johnsons have shared a new song, Breaking.
Released via Rough Trade, the stripped back track was written and recorded during the sessions for ANOHNI's 2023 album, 'My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross'.
Guided by the New York singer's jazz-infused vocals, layered over sparse guitar lines and clarinet, it arrives alongside details of a North American tour this fall. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 14). ANOHNI said:
"I am presenting a series of concerts in Mexico, the US and Canada this fall. It is my first time touring since 2016, and first time with a band in 14 years. I feel like I want to sing for people, to affirm that these times are unprecedented, and to hold and express a sense of what’s really happening."
ANOHNI and The Johnsons will also play previously scheduled shows at Manchester's Aviva Studios and London's Barbican between June 29 and July 2, as part of a summer European tour. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
