The Waeve have announced their second album.

The duo, Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougal, will release 'City Lights' through Transgressive Records on September 20, following up their 2023 self-titled debut. Comprising 10 tracks, it'll include the title track that was released in May, as well as the newly shared cut You Saw.

The latter is an expansive, anthemic track the pair have described as, "a song about acknowledging how seemingly tiny decisions can have a seismic impact on the course of one’s life, how sometimes it feels like the way things turn out are predestined. It’s about reconciling a past version with the new version of one’s self and being grateful for how things work out. It’s built around a rhythmic string line to reflect the sense of propulsive forward motion."

The Waeve will support The Breeders at Bristol Sounds on June 30, before joining Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at Warwick Castle on July 21. They'll then play Latitude Festival before supporting Elbow at the grounds of Audley End, in Saffron Walden, Essex on August 4, going on to play Wales' Green Man Festival on August 17.

Around the week of the LP's release, they'll play a series of Rough Trade in-store shows. Head here for details. Following that, they'll play their biggest headline show to date at Village Underground, London on October 29. Tickets are on sale now.

1. City Lights
