Rex Orange County Announces New Album 'The Alexander Technique'

Rex Orange County has announced a new album.
The follow-up to 2022's 'Who Cares?' is titled 'The Alexander Technique' and will arrive on September 6 via RCA Records.
Produced entirely by Rex himself, alongside Teo Halm and Rex Orange County touring band member Jim Reed, the record also boasts additional production from James Blake, who features on the song Look Me In The Eyes.
Alongside the news, the British vocalist, real name Alex O'Connor, has shared two new tracks, Alexander and Guitar Song, both of which offer introspective lyrics, intricate melodies, and his stripped back blend of indie-folk, pop, and R&B with orchestral elements.
The former, the opening track, arrives with a Nick Walker-directed video, which reveals the inspiration for the album's titled, while the latter's accompanying clip shows footage of O'Connor working on the record at Decoy Studios in England. Commenting on the project, he said:
"'The Alexander Technique' is very much a look into my own brain and experiences over the last few years – it’s almost a diary.
"I’ve made a lot of love songs over the years, and I feel as though this is the first time I’m trying to make a project about everything in life. In my mind, it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted to make."
