Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds Tease 'Wild God' With New Single Long Dark Night

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have released another single from their upcoming album.
The reflective and sombre Long Dark Night is a country-leaning, piano-led ballad that serves as the third preview of ‘Wild God’, which is due out on August 30.
Inspired by the poem Dark Night Of The Soul by the 16th-century Spanish poet St. John of the Cross, it follows on from the record's previously shared cuts, Frogs and the title track. Cave said:
"Long Dark Night is inspired by one of the greatest and most powerful poems of conversion ever written. Ultimately, though, it's a beautiful country tune. It feels like a sweet companion to the song, Wild God."
Cave and the Bad Seeds will support the follow-up to 2019's 'Ghosteen' with a previously scheduled UK and European arena tour in the autumn. Tickets are on sale.
