Maxïmo Park have shared another single from their upcoming album.
Built around a looping, surfy guitar riff, Quiz Show Clue marks the latest preview of the Newcastle band's new album, 'Stream Of Life', due out on September 27 via Lower Third.
"This song is a tongue-in-cheek take on being left behind or ignored by society, It mirrors my own working-class art-school background, but surely everybody feels like a nobody at some point?!"
Maxïmo Park have also scheduled a series of album launch shows in conjunction with local independent record shops for the week before its release. They'll call at Newcastle's Northumbria University Reds Bar with Reflex Records, Leeds' Brudenell Social Club with Crash Records, Nottingham's Metronome with Rough Trade, and London's Pryzm with Banquet Records. Tickets go on general sale at 10am tomorrow (August 20).
They'll also support the record with a previously scheduled UK and European tour in the autumn. Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
