The singer-songwriter will call in Nottingham, London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bexhill-On-Sea, Cardiff, Liverpool and Dublin between March 20 and 31, following a run of dates across Europe. Tickets for the UK gigs go on general sale at 10am on September 12.
The dates will support Cale's new album, 'POPtical Illusion', which arrived in June through Double Six/Domino. His second album in just over a year followed on from 2023's 'Mercy'.
Alongside the news, the 82-year-old has shared a video for the 'POPtical Illusion' track Davies and Wales, directed by Emmy-nominated Jethro Waters, below. Waters said:
"Davies And Wales is such a perfect example of the kind of things that only John Cale can do all at once: upbeat, melancholic, happy, shapeshifting, nostalgic, modern, beautiful heartache. There is such a melange of feelings packed into this song - his youth in Wales, his time in NYC and California - and I wanted to try and translate that time travel in a joyful, purposeful way."
