Big Sean has announced a new release date for his upcoming sixth studio album.
Taking to social media, the Detroit rapper revealed that 'Better Me Than You' will now roll out this Friday (August 30), after a Kanye West fan allegedly leaked the record online earlier this month. In an emotional post on Instagram Live, Sean said:
"I appreciate my mom for being that guardian angel always giving me that advice. She really talked me through it for real. Like I said, I haven’t been sleeping a lot. I been giving this shit my all. I’m burned the fuck out. I’m tired. I do do this shit for the people that fuck with me."
The Grammy-nominated artist has already teased the record with a handful of singles, including Together Forever, On Up, Yes, Ya Don't Stop, and Precision. He also recently featured alongside BabyTon on Eminem's 'The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)' track Tobey.
'Better Me Than You' serves as the follow-up to 2020's 'Detroit 2'. However, since then he has put out a collaborative EP with Hit-Boy, 2021's 'What You Expect', and in 2022 he re-released his fourth mixtape, 'Detroit', on streaming platforms.
