Ahead of their North American tour, Future Islands have released a new single.
Glimpse is the American synth-pop band's first new release since the arrival of their latest album, 'People Who Aren't There Anymore', in January. It offers dance-worthy melodies that belie its dark lyrics: "I’ve been waiting for sleep, Down at the gallows, I’ve been praying for peace, Out in the shadows," sings Samuel T. Herring.
The quartet will kick off their tour of the US and Canada on September 10, with the first of two nights at the Malkin Bowl in Vancouver. The trek is set to run until September 29, when it will conclude in New Orleans. Tickets are on sale now.
