Taylor Swift (pictured) won big again at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.
Leading the pack of nominees with 12 nods, the singer took home seven gongs, including Best Artist and Video Of The Year for Fortnight, surpassing Beyoncé's record of 26 wins as a solo artist. If you include Beyoncé's two awards as part of The Carters and two as part of Destiny’s Child, the pair now tie as the most awarded artists in the event's history with 30 each.
Other winners on the night included Katy Perry, who picked up the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award after performing a medley of her hits, while Chappell Roan was awarded Best New Artist. Sabrina Carpenter took home Song Of The Year for Espresso, with the Moonman trophy presented to her by Cyndi Lauper, who won Best Female Video for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at the inaugural ceremony in 1984.
There was a plethora of performances from artists on the night, including host and rapper Megan Thee Stallion, Lenny Kravitz, Shawn Mendes, Eminem, Halsey, LL Cool J, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Lisa, who picked up Best K-Pop, becoming the first solo artist to win the award twice, having been the only solo act to win the award.
The 41st annual VMAs took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Check out a full list of winners here.
