Amyl And The Sniffers have released a new single, Big Dreams.
A sonic departure from their usual fiery punk songs, the ballad (of sorts) serves as the latest preview of their third album, 'Cartoon Darkness', which is due out on October 25. Singer Amy Taylor said:
"I am writing this before Big Dreams comes out, and I am actually a bit nervous that it's a single, because it's so different from a lot of people's expectations of us. This song was written because a lot of people in my life are struggling financially, and it's really hard to make your dreams come true when you're trying to get by day-to-day. But when I think of my friends doing what they love, and I see how good they are at it, I just know they've never been dull, they've always been lit, and there's nothing that will break that or take it away from them."
Head below to check out the song's accompanying video, which was directed by PHC Films and shot in the desert in one continuous take.
Recorded with producer Nick Launay at Foo Fighters' 606 Studios in Los Angeles earlier this year, the record will also include the previously unveiled singles Chewing Gum and U Should Not Be Doing That.
The Australian band will tour the UK and Europe in November. They'll also support Fontaines D.C. at the Dublin band's huge show in Finsbury Park, London in July next year. Tickets are on sale now.
