Dream Theater Announce New Album 'Parasomnia' With First Single Night Terror

Dream Theater will release their 16th studio album early in 2025.
The follow-up to 2021's 'A View From The Top Of The World' is titled 'Parasomnia' and will arrive on February 7 via InsideOut Music.
Featuring 71 minutes of music across eight songs, it marks the prog-metal legends' first LP featuring the line-up of vocalist James LaBrie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, keyboardist Jordan Rudess and drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009's 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings'. It was produced by Petrucci, engineered by James "Jimmy T" Meslin, and mixed by Andy Sneap.
Alongside news of the record, the Grammy-winning band have shared its first single, Night Terror, a dark, prog-metal odyssey that clocks in at just under 10 minutes and incorporates a typically dynamic and multifaceted guitar work-out. Watch its Mike Leonard-directed video below.
The announcement follows news of the quintet's mammoth 40th anniversary tour, with the UK and European leg billed as An Evening With Dream Theater andscheduled to kick off with a show at the O2 Arena in London on October 20.
The North American part of the tour will take place in February and March 2025. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
